7 THINGS TO DO WHEN FEELING DISSAPOINTED, DISCOURAGED AND DEPRESSED

*7 THINGS TO DO WHEN FEELING DISSAPOINTED, DISCOURAGED AND DEPRESSED*

*1. Always choose faith over fear*
Don’t panick, pray. Don’t worry, worship. Panicking and worrying won’t help.

_For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7_

*2. Always trust that God is in control*
God is in control of this pandemic and He’s in control of these elections. He sees what we can’t see. What looks to us as chaos is not chaos to God.

_For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. Psalms 75:6‭-‬7 KJV_

*3. It’s not the end of the story*
_My friends, be patient until the Lord returns. Think of farmers who wait patiently for the spring and summer rains to make their valuable crops grow. James 5:7 CEVUK_

Like farmers, we go through different seasons in life. No one moves from summer to summer without going through winter. Let’s be patient, this season will also pass.

*4. Do not jump to conclusions*
You may need to get off social media for sometime. At such a time we need more of the good news(the gospel) than the TV news. Don’t believe everything u hear.

_A fool will believe anything; sensible people watch their step. Proverbs 14:15 GNB_

*5. Look for lessons to learn*
God wants us to learn from everything we’re going through. He even wants us to learn from our sins.

_Remember today what you have learned about the LORD through your experiences with Him. Deuteronomy 11:2 GNB_

What have u learned during this pandemic season? What are u learning from all the election chaos going on right now?

*6. Be empathetic with everyone*
Use your ears more than your mouth. Listen to people’s hurts. Don’t say, “Yes I agree, but…” Don’t be defensive, just listen them and offer mercy.

_Each of us should please our neighbors for their good in order to build them up. Romans 15:2 CEB_

*7. Look for things to be grateful for*
This is the most difficult thing to do when we’re discouraged, depressed and dissapointed.

_Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18_

We don’t give thanks for all the bad things happening in life, we can’t give thanks for all the damages happening but we can give thanks *in* all things.

We thank God for His grace upon our lives, we thank God for His plan which is for our good. We thank God for He will bring good out of all the bad things happening around us. We thank God for the changes He’s doing in us. We thank God for preparing for us a perfect home in Eternity.

_The most important truth is this_
*We, however, are citizens of heaven, and we eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, to come from heaven.*
_Philippians 3:20 GNT_
